Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 |  Itanagar Airport to Hotel (Approx. 30 Km / 1 Hr)

• Arrival in Itanagar: Begin your journey with a pick-up from Itanagar Airport. Enjoy a comfortable drive to your hotel in the city.

  City Orientation: After checking in, take some time to relax or head out for a light stroll around the nearby markets or scenic spots, depending on your arrival time.

  Cultural Glimpse: If time permits, visit the Gompa Buddhist Temple, perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the capital.

  Overnight Stay: Check into your hotel and unwind for the night, preparing for the upcoming days of exploration.

Day 2 | Itanagar hotel to Shergaon (290 Km/7Hrs)

• Scenic Drive to Shergaon: Start your day early with a drive from Itanagar to Shergaon. The route takes you through lush valleys, dense forests, and winding mountain roads, offering a visual treat for nature lovers.

• Midway Refreshments: Stop en route at local eateries or scenic points for refreshments and photo breaks. Enjoy the gradual change in landscape as you ascend into the Eastern Himalayas.

• Arrival in Shergaon: Reach Shergaon by evening. Check in to your accommodation and take a leisurely walk around the quaint village known for its pristine environment and vibrant Monpa culture.

• Evening Leisure: If time and energy permit, enjoy a calm evening visiting the local apple orchards or simply relax amidst the serene backdrop.

• Overnight Stay: Spend the night at a cozy homestay or lodge in Shergaon

Day 3 | Shergaon to Shangti Valley Via Bomdila Day 2 (90 Km/3Hrs)

• Morning Journey: After breakfast, depart from Shergaon and head towards Bomdila.

• Monastery Visits: Explore the serene Bomdila Monastery before continuing to Dirang to visit the picturesque Dirang Monastery.

• Shangti Valley Experience: Take a scenic river walk and enjoy a tranquil hike amidst the untouched beauty of Shangti Valley.

• Sheep Farm Exploration: Visit the Sheep Farm in Shangti Valley for a glimpse into the local lifestyle and agricultural practices.

• Morning Departure: After breakfast, begin your journey toward Tawang, with a short halt at Baisakhi to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

• Scenic Highlights: Visit the breathtaking Sela Pass and Sela Lake, capturing the beauty of this high-altitude region.

• Historical Stop: Explore the Jaswantgarh War Memorial, honoring the bravery of soldiers.

• Nature’s Beauty: Experience the stunning Jang Waterfalls before reaching Tawang for an overnight stay

Day 5 | Tawang Sightseeing

• Morning Exploration: After breakfast, begin exploring Tawang, including Buddhist Monastery and other places around.

• Optional Sightseeing 1: Head towards Y Junction and Bumla Pass, if road conditions permit, visit Bumla at the Indo-China border for a unique experience (Approx per day cost: INR 5,500/taxi for Bumla Pass). (Only Local Taxi can go)

• Optional Sightseeing 2: Additional sightseeing options include Zimithang (INR 8,500/taxi) and Chumi Gyatse Falls (INR 12,000/taxi). (Only Local Taxi can go)

• Evening Relaxation: After a day of sightseeing, return to the hotel to unwind and relax.

• NOTE: Cost for local taxi’s are not included in this itinary, we will arrange everything but you have to pay them in Cash

Day 6 | Tawang to Dirang Day ( 140 KM/ 5 Hrs)

• Journey to Dirang: After breakfast, begin the drive to Dirang, stopping en route to admire the stunning Jung Falls.

• Arrival and Check-In: Upon reaching Dirang, check in to the hotel and relax before starting local sightseeing.

• Explore Dirang: Visit regional attractions such as the kiwi farms, Dzong (fort), hot water springs, Mandala Top, or Sangti Valley, depending on the time available.

• Overnight Stay: End the day with an overnight stay at a hotel in the picturesque Dirang Valley, located at an altitude of 4,700 ft

Day 7 | Dirang to Itanagar( 310 Km/ 7 Hrs)

• Return Journey Begins: Start early from Dirang for a long yet scenic drive back to Itanagar. The route offers stunning views of river valleys, pine-covered hills, and rural Arunachal life.

• En Route Stopovers: Break the journey with short stops for tea or snacks at local roadside stalls. You may also pause briefly at picturesque viewpoints to soak in the last glimpses of the mountains.

• Arrival in Itanagar: Reach Itanagar by evening. Check into your hotel and relax after the journey.

• Evening at Leisure: Depending on your energy levels, take a light walk nearby or enjoy a quiet dinner at the hotel.

• Overnight Stay: Overnight stay in Itanagar.

Day 8 | Itanagar to Itanagar Airport ( Trip End)

• Trip Concludes: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed towards Itanagar Airport for your return journey.

• Leisurely Start: If your flight is scheduled later in the day, you may have some free time in the morning to relax or explore a nearby café or market.

• Departure: Drop-off at Itanagar Airport as per your flight schedule.
